The first of many...

Hi and welcome to my blog. This is the first of what I hope will be many posts, keeping track of my European holiday. It's early days yet - I'm still in at home in Australia and having to work for another 10 weeks before the real adventure begins. Meanwhile, allow me to introduce you to Thelma. She's a white Mercedes owned by my friend AG, who is currently living in Liverpool in the U.K. When the UK summer holidays begin in July, AG and I will be taking Thelma and Louise (the GPS) across the English channel, to spend some time tripping around Europe. AG and I know each other well and since she likes things to be unstructured and spontaneous and I prefer a detailed itinerary...we may be in for a wild ride!
